May
We celebrated a lot of birthdays and welcomed Yingmei to Cache Valley. We met Yingmei last year when we were in China. She will be here for 2 years to earn a masters degree. We enjoyed having her in our home for 3 weeks. She taught us how to make Chinese dumplings and brought additional energy and sunshine to our house.
June
School is over. Summer yard work begins in earnest. Teryl has lots of projects to clean up after the long winter and to bring the landscaping to his standards. Plentiful rain keeps everything green. We enjoy lettuce and swiss chard from our garden. Tammy completed the course work to earn her Library Media Endorsement. We helped Brad and Shanna move to Twin Falls where Brad will manage a new Jamba Juice.
July
We spent July 4th in Lewiston, Utah where Yingmei watched her first parade. She was excited about the candy that was thrown from the floats. We took a little trip to Joe's Valley (near Price) and spent a couple of days with Mom and Mel. It was fun to ride on the 4 wheelers and see the beautiful area. We prepared and awaited the arrival of Jerod, Shelley and Hunter! Hunter enjoyed riding bikes in Grandpa and Grandma's garage. He also enjoyed reading books with us. Hunter found every remote control in our house and pushed every button within his reach. We had fun at Bear Lake for the July 24th holiday. Scott, Allison and Madeline arrived. We were so happy to be able to spend time with our children and grandchildren. It was nice to have our house full again! On July 30th Landon was born to Brad and Shanna. What a wonderful way to end a perfect month.
Mel Mom Tammy and Teryl enjoyed lunch and visiting at the marina
August
We kicked off the month with our Roper Family Reunion held in Altamont. Most all of the family was there minus a few of our boys. We enjoyed spending time together. Allison and Scott flew to Dallas to pick up their cars and some belongings. They left Madeline with us which we thoroughly enjoyed. However, we had forgotten how persistent a two year old can be. We were tired every night. We are happy to have then stay with us until they find a job. However, Scott's dad has work for them on the family farm on Paul, Idaho until harvest is over. They are welcome to come and go until a job is secured.

September
Another school year has begun. Megan and Colin are attending USU. Teryl isn't teaching this fall. Tammy is substitute teaching again this year and hopes to get many opportunities to be the school librarian in the local schools. Our home is quiet again with only Megan at home. Colin is living near campus as is Yingmei. We look forward to our visits to Twin Falls to spend time with sweet, little Landon (and Brad and Shanna). We also hope to have Sunday dinners here with Colin, Megan, their friends and anyone else who would like to join us each week.
